Rely on our Experience

Lawrence Mabe - The Small Business Computing Professionals

Keith and Larry Mabe

We have the proven skills and capabilities that you can rely on.  We are results-driven professionals with experience in leading people and project teams, as well as implementing and overseeing technology initiatives.  We possess an in-depth understanding of emerging technologies and their commercial applications.  In addition to our proven capabilities, we have years of success in providing technology solutions to many different organizations.

Keith Mabe - Founder and Chief Technologist

I seek to provide low-cost effective technology consulting, system development, and support services to small and medium sized businesses in and around the Houston area.  Utilizing my broad technology expertise and polished consulting skills, I provide solutions to young growing companies and startups.  My clients feel confident they have a consultant who is willing to take the time to listen to their needs, guide them through the maze of choices available to them, and share their concerns.  It is important that my clients utilize the right technologies to establish a firm foundation for trouble-free growth well into the future.

Although computer technology has been a hobby since I was about ten years old, I didn't pursue it as a career until 1994.  I began my professional career with Network Systems Engineering (NSE) where I was a valued member of a highly skilled team of consultants with experience in all areas of design, development, and implementation of network infrastructure and client/server systems.  After many successful projects with NSE, I was promoted to IT Manager where I was a valued member of the NSE management team. My primary responsibility was the management of all IT functions for the company. This included the development, growth, and maintenance of corporate-wide systems and network. Since NSE (in addition to its technical consulting services) functioned as a corporate ISP, I was also accountable for management of the ISP services and maintaining a positive relationship with our ISP services clients. Additionally, I established and managed the NSE Response Center, which functioned as an "Expert Level" helpdesk for NSE consultants to call on for technical answers.

From NSE I moved to Millennium Integration Technologies (MIT) where, as a Sr. Analyst, I was assigned to Exxon Chemical Company for Microsoft Windows NT Workstation/Server deployment design and advanced troubleshooting. This position migrated into development of standardized server and desktop platforms, based on Microsoft's NT 4.0. This product was distributed to more than 3000 workstations and approximately 200 servers in North America. I was very active in the development process, procedures, and standards associated with this project.

After being heavily recruited by Deloitte & Touche - DRT Systems (DRT), I joined their Microsoft Technologies practice where I continued many successful projects at Exxon.  On July 1, 1999 DRT Systems merged with CGI, where I became a valued member of the Architecture and Infrastructure Services practice with the Houston office.  This practice consisted of a highly skilled team of consultants with experience in all areas of design, development, and implementation of network infrastructure and client/server systems. CGI is a Microsoft Solutions Provider and gained first partner level and the Special Forces level status with Microsoft.  As a Sr. Consultant for this practice I have provided consulting services to Dynegy, Kinder Morgan, Minute Maid, Lantel Worldwide Communications, and ExxonMobil.

Larry Mabe - Systems Analyst

I started using and programming micro and mid-range computer systems in the mid 80s and have continued to meet the challenges of this ever changing industry. Here are some of the most recent applications of technology that I have managed recently:

  • Coordination of installation of high-security point-to-point wireless for wide-area networks
  • Consulted and installed low cost government access cable television channel systems
  • Supervised the installation of corporate office resources using VPN for remote clients
  • Coordinated the installation and network integration of IBM mid-range systems

As you can see I have been involved in the leading edge of technology. I have also provided systems analysis and programming for municipal governments and private corporations for over twenty-five years.  I have hands-on as well as supervision experience in the installation, support and configuration of both micro and mid-range computer systems.

Website and web-based services is a service I have provided for several companies.  I have a broad experience in the development, design, and establishment of  affordable Websites. Having been a professional photographer, I also do any required digital photography, imaging, and artwork when needed. This helps to keep the cost down for our clients.

Doesn’t it make sense to use Lawrence Mabe?
